P90X Classic – Week 5 of 13

Well, I had a rather long delay between weeks four and five thanks to all sorts of other things happening, but I’m now ready to get back at it.  Week 5, where they change it up some.  We’ll see just how much this is changed up.  I’ll be doing this routine for the next three weeks when the recovery week happens after that.

Monday: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps and Ab Ripper X

A lot of these exercises felt like some of the exercises that I’ve done in Insanity.  However, my arms were burning and I felt like jello afterward so I figure it was a good workout.  Instead of Ab Ripper X I did Insanity’s Cardio Abs which I prefer more.

Tuesday: Plyometrics

For Plyometrics, I decided to do Insanity’s Plyometric Cardio Circuit.  For some reason, I just really enjoy Insanity’s workouts.

Wednesday: Back & Biceps, Ab Ripper X

So my arms are now butter and I did Insanity’s Cardio Abs again.

Thursday: Yoga X

Yoga X, its still a great workout, although I think it feels a little long.

Friday: Legs & Back, Ab Ripper X

Legs and back is a good workout, and of course, I did Insanity’s  Cardio Abs instead of Ab Ripper X.

Saturday: Kenpo X

Instead of Kenpo X, I did Cardio Power and Resistance from Insanity.

Sunday: X Stretch

I still love X Stretch.

Weekly Thoughts

So, I had a long layoff from starting up the second month of P90X.  Sometimes, things happen that you just can’t control.. but it’s all back to normal now and I’m feeling great.

  1. After a couple weeks of experimentation I think I finally figured out my Round 2 Insanity P90X Doubles Hybrid Schedule. However Ive never done before so based on my research thanks Im going to incorporate some of the more easier Insanity workouts if there is such a thing for Cardio X and Kenpo X. I tried subbing out P90X Plyometrics for an Insanity workout but I didnt find Insanity to be a good substitute for Plyo X so I decided to keep it for Round 2.
