I’ve decided to get with the times and a get a vehicle that gets a little bit better gas mileage than my previous daily driver. It doesn’t have near the explosiveness off-the-line as the Cayenne Turbo, but it does get over 3x the gas mileage in town and has the majority of the features I enjoyed in the Cayenne. It’s a shame that more people don’t look into diesel vehicles. So, to rectify that situation some, here is the current MPG I’m getting on the car, courtesy of Fuelly.com:
The main specifications of the vehicle are as follows:
- Common Rail inline-4 diesel engine with 140hp / 236ft-lbs
- 6-speed DSG transmission
- 30 city / 42 highway mpg
- Salsa Red exterior / cornsilk interior
- Panoramic sunroof and wheel package
- Rear side airbag package
- iPod MDI connector
And like the other daily drivers I’ve had, here is the run down on the typical expenses since buying the car:
