This was my track and autocross toy. I bought it a few weeks before my birthday in 2008 and tinkered and drove the heck out of it until I sold it in May of 2012.
The specs of the car when I bought it are:
- 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe
- 3.2L Flat 6 air-cooled engine
- 207hp / 192 ft-lbs torque (according to factory, no telling what it actually is)
- 5-speed manual transmission
- 102k miles at time of purchase
- Quartz Grey Metallic w/ black full leather interior
As you already know, if it is a track or autocross car, it automatically gets played with. So without further ado, here is a run down on the modifications to the car thus far (at the very bottom you can see the running tally of the parts and such installed. Now, of course, with all these small changes, you’d think I’d be done – you’d be wrong. Since it is a toy, it is never in the perfect state. 🙂
Now, below you’ll find a complete run-down on the parts and work done to the car. This part is very sobering and a little scary as to what I’ve put into the car to turn it into a competitive track vehicle. You’ll note that I’ve done everything except internal engine and transmission work to the vehicle. People who have driven my car have said it’s well-balanced and setup nicely for the track. I’ve tweaked it a lot to get it to run and turn in smoothly and it is very neutral with turn-in and attitude (or as much as you can get for an ass-engined Nazi slot car).
