Pumpkin Pie Spice Parmesan Garlic Bread Twists

I got the original recipe (minus the pumpkin pie spice idea) from here.  So I’ll just quickly run through the recipe and my modification.


  • 1 box of puff pastry
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder
  • all-purpose flower
  • pumpkin pie spice
  • water


Sprinkle all purpose flour onto a clean work surface then place a sheet of puff pastry onto the flour.  Enlarge the puff pastry by rolling it out with a rolling pin.  Lightly coat the puff pastry on one side with water using a pastry brush (if you’re civilized) or dipping your hand in water and rubbing it on the pastry (like me, if you’re lazy).  Then sprinkle garlic powder, pumpkin pie spice and the grated parmesan cheese onto the puff pasty.  I sprinkled the garlic powder and pumpkin pie spice liberally on the puff pastry, but to each their own on how much flavor you want.  Now fold the puff pastry in half and cut it into strips.  Next take each strip and twist it and place it onto a PAM’d or foil covered baking sheet.  Cook at 400F for 8 minutes or until nicely browned.
